PROJECT DETAILS

Birchall Green Solar Farm is located in Sinton Green, Worcestershire. The project has an export capacity of 21 MW which will be connected to the local electricity grid - enough to power over 8,380 homes per year.

The development will have several key benefits, including but not limited to:

  • The solar farm will generate clean, renewable electricity, key to helping Malvern Hills District Council and Grimley Parish Council, which declared a climate emergency in 2019 meet its target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050

  • There will be significant biodiversity enhancements. There will be new hedges and a lowland meadow. Sheep will still be able to graze between and underneath the panels.

*Note: Estimates based on 3,600kWh/annum average home consumption and CO2 grid intensity of 181g/kWh.
