Our partners

We work with a variety of partners to develop our renewable energy projects, from the landowners and the communities we work with to EPCs, utilities, infrastructure funds and corporates aiming to meet their Net Zero objectives.

Landowners

The landowners are the enablers of getting our renewable energy projects done.

We consider ourselves reliable partners and good stewards of our landowner’s land, helping to create long-term investment returns, support for the local community and benefits for future generations.

Solar farms provide an attractive alternative use of land that helps diversify your income stream.

Leasing land to REPD for solar farm development brings a number of potential advantages:

  • We offer competitive lease terms which provide a long-term, inflation-linked revenue.

  • The solar panels only occupy about a third of the leased land area, leaving plenty of free grassland. In addition to rental income, it is possible to continue using the land to graze small livestock (such as sheep or poultry) or to grow crops on the solar farm site.

  • Solar farms provide an excellent way of providing financial stability from your land by adding an income stream that is not linked to agriculture.

  • Seeding areas within the solar farm with suitable vegetation (native plants, grass and wildflower mixes) enables small livestock grazing, bee keeping and native bird feeding, regenerative habitat restoration and topsoil improvement.

  • Good communication and working with you the landowner is the route to our success. We engage you in the project design to help compliment and enhance the way you manage the land.

  • Help generate clean, reliable energy for your community, local businesses and yourself from low-impact, emission-free solar energy infrastructure.

  • REPD take care of all development costs and reasonable third-party costs such as solicitor and land agent fees.

  • The land will be restored to its original state and all equipment will be removed at the end of a solar lease as part of the decommissioning process.

  • Agricultural Tax Relief may still be available to the landowners in a form of Business Property Relief.
