PROJECT DETAILS

South Kintore BESS will have an approximate installed capacity of 200 MW and is located on the land of Womblehill Farm, Kintore. The proposed BESS will be able to store and release energy from the electricity network and provide energy security to the local grid during times of peak demand.

Located in Aberdeenshire, South Kintore BESS offers energy security benefits, biodiversity benefits, and landscaping enhancements.

Our consulting teams include ecology, landscape and visual, noise, heritage, planning, and transport specialists who are helping us to design a sensitive and sustainable development site.

During the early phases of the project we have sought to build meaningful engagement with the local community in order that their feedback may be taken into consideration within the design.

We will enter the pre-application phase of the project during Q4 of 2024 with full submission in Q1 of 2025.
