PROJECT DETAILS

Hoon Hay Solar Farm will have an approximate installed capacity of 5 MW and is located on the land of Hoon Hay Farm, Marston Lane approximately 0.5 km to the east of Hatton, Derbyshire. The solar energy generated will be exported to the local distribution network and will be enough to power over 1,882 homes per year.

The development will have several key benefits:

• The solar farm will generate clean, renewable electricity and will make a vital contribution to climate change targets of the UK’s transition away from fossil fuels

• The site was carefully selected due to its proximity to existing electrical infrastructure and topography, which will limit any impact on residential properties in the area.

• The site is located outside of environmentally sensitives areas such as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
