Solar
Solar power is proven to be the cheapest form of clean electricity generation available and without subsidies, this helps to reduce power prices.
As well as generating renewable energy, solar farms can enrich local biodiversity, continue the use of agriculture via sheep grazing and restore soil conditions.
Battery Storage
With the decommissioning of coal fired power stations and investors withdrawing funding for the UK’s planned nuclear plants, additional support for intermittent renewable energy generations is imperative. This is where energy storage plays an important role.
Energy storage addresses one of the biggest challenges faced by renewable generators - the intermittent nature of such technologies - offers a way to capture clean energy and balance energy generation against demand.
REPD is currently developing a 750+MWp pipeline of solar PV and over 850MW | 1,500MWh energy storage projects across the UK.
